Clay Fish Mural Event

During the school year, your child participated in a 2-hour clay fish workshop with Miss Welch in art as part of the UNITED BY THE SEA project (in collaboration with Creative Looe).
They produced a bass -relief fish piece which was then taken off site to be fired and glazed.
The event will give children and their families a chance to find the fish they made and see how their individual contributions come together as part of a much larger artwork.
For the display, we’ll recreate a mural layout on the Assembly Hall floor using lining paper, arranging the fish into flowing shoals. To make it easier for families to locate their work, fish will be grouped by year group (Nursery, Foundation, Years 1–2, Years 3–6, etc.), although in the final mural they will all be intermingled.
It should be a lively, visual way to bring the project to life and build excitement for the eventual installation with over 500 fish on display. The year 10's and 11’s unfortunately have not yet been glazed, so they will be displayed at a later date.
